Symposium on Agro-Economy and Rural Anthropology, 1st Edition – SAAR 2020
The “Gheorghe Zane” Institute for Economic and Social Research of the Romanian Academy, Iași Branch and the Rural Development Research Platform Association are organizing the first edition of the Symposium on Agro-Economy and Rural Anthropology, with the theme The relationship between producers, consumers, local markets. The first edition of the symposium is being held as part of the Iași Academic Days, 2020 and will take place online on October 28, 2020.
The Agro-Economy and Rural Anthropology Symposium supports the research and intervention community in rural socio-economy, providing an opportunity for the exchange of experience between the main actors contributing to the development of rural space in the current context. Bringing together economic representatives, researchers, representatives of governance and public administration, non-governmental organizations, direct or indirect beneficiaries, we aim to contribute to rural development by putting into debate the major themes related to agro-economics and rural anthropology: agronomy, ecology, distribution chains, agritourism, consumer behavior, rural sociology, ethnology and ethnography, physical or linguistic anthropology, archaeology, visual anthropology, rural anthrozoology and everything related to rural life, in its contemporary aspects.
The conference will take placeonline, on October 28, 2020, starting at 9:00 a.m. and is part of the series of scientific events Academic Days Iași, XXXV edition.
