Dialogues with Nature. The Return of the Bison

Humans have always been curious about finding intelligent life forms anywhere in the universe. The question of whether or not we are alone in the infinity of space and time has led us to space programs that have searched for extraterrestrial life. But even today, some of us are still reluctant to see the richness of life on Earth, its diversity and complexity, an entire world populated by beings who can share our curiosity.

The Philosophy in the Wild. Finding Hope in Mixed Communities project, within which this event is also organized, encourages a close look and discovery of the other beings and communities with whom we live. Only with a closer look will we be able to understand that we share the planet with other intelligent and affectionate life forms, which create strong community bonds, form families and develop cultures, languages ​​and very complex ways of communication. Only when we challenge human exceptionalism are we open to discovering the myriad of other life forms, communities, cultures, relationships, or, in a word, more-than-human worlds.

This Learning cafe invites you to a debate on living alongside bison, who have returned to our forests and begun to populate them again. We invite you to an imaginary journey into the world of bison and our multi-species communities.
