National Symposium “Problems of Legal Sciences: Hypostasis of Conflict”

The conflict of principles in the legal field should not exist, because the rule of law is designed to prevent the emergence of social dysfunctions and to provide ways to close conflicts. The fact that the incidence of conflicting principles is noted, the application of which, in relation to the same circumstance, has as its effect either the impossibility of implementing one of them, or the creation of situations that the legislator did not want and which are or may become dangerous for society, shows that the analysis of this phenomenon is particularly important.

Even if the divergence or antagonism of the requirements of certain principles of law can be regarded as inevitable – due to the increased complexity of social relations – it is possible and even desirable to identify certain patterns in the ways of preventing these situations, as well as to identify the most appropriate reactions to this type of conflict.

The topics of the presentations will fall within the specific fields of international law, criminal procedural law, philosophy of law and constitutional law.
