The “Gheorghe Zane” Institute for Economic and Social Research, the Romanian Academy – Iași Branch and the Institute of Agrarian Economics of the Romanian Academy, Bucharest organized on October 16, 2024, the 4th edition of the scientific session Vectors of rural development in the North-Eastern Region of Romania, an event held within the Iași Academic Days, XXXIXth edition.
The scientific session organized online was attended by researchers from the two academic institutes, from other research institutes in Bucharest and Iași, along with teaching staff from the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași and the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, along with experts from the County Directorate of Statistics and the Iași County Directorate for Agriculture.
During the scientific session, various aspects were debated regarding the transformations taking place in agri-food systems, their social, economic and environmental consequences, the effects on activities throughout the agri-food chain and on society as a whole.
